Title: PATIENT DATABASE MANAGEMENT WITH BIOMETRIC SYSTEM
Category:
Synopsis: Nowadays, the number of patients are growing for medical services. It is important for a hospital to have a clear and safe database management system that can store all of the patient’s personal data including their medical history, hospital visits, treatment and prescriptions. In Malaysia, there are still hospitals that key in the patient’s data manually and store them by using ‘Terminal Digit Filling’ method. This method seems less efficient considering the patient’s data might be duplicate or it might switched to one patient to another. With the implementation of a biometric system in the database, the patient’s data will be more secure and accurate since each people have different and unique fingerprints trait. The possibility to mistaken patient’s data is unlikely to happen.
