Title: Development of Automatic Watering Plant
Category:
Synopsis: Home, small and medium-scale gardening types are famous in Malaysia due to the suitable weather throughout the year. However with smart and efficient way of irrigation system, this can help to monitor the growth of the garden plants. Therefore, the related project is proposed where it is mainly comprised of PIC16F877A microcontroller-based design which controls the water supply of the garden plants to be irrigated. It is programmed in such a way that it will sense the moisture level of the plants and supply the water if required. This project will also be implemented with sensors that can detect the humidity in the garden soil and supply water to the garden. These sensors will not be activated until water is present in the garden field. Once the garden gets drier, sensors will sense the requirement of water in the garden field and send a signal to the microcontroller. The microcontroller will then supply the water to the field which has water constraint until the sensors are deactivated again. In the case where there is more than one signals for water requirement then the microcontroller will prioritize the first received signal and irrigate the field accordingly. This system is often used for general plant care for small and large gardens. Normally, the plants need to be watered twice daily, in the morning and evening. Then, the microcontroller must be coded to water the plants in the garden two times every day. Many people enjoy gardening. However, for most people this becomes a challenge to keep the garden healthy and alive. Thus to solve this problem, this project is designed for those who cannot water the plant due to their busy schedule or when they are away for some times. This automation system is designed to assist the users in order for the users to enjoy gardening without any challenges.
