Title: Development of Prosthetic Limb Control using Arduino-Uno with Force Sensor Resistor (FSR)

Synopsis: The purpose of this project is to help the amputees by creating a device that can alert users about the excess pressure inside the artificial limb. This device is to detect the excess pressure between the prosthetic limb and the skin surface of the patient. Due to the existing product that does not have sensor to alert about excess pressure, the amputee may highly suffer soft tissue damage. The objective of this project is to design a pressure sensor circuit that can detect excess pressure on a prosthetic limb which can develop an algorithm for Arduino to give an alert when excess pressure is detected. This project work by using Force Sensor Resistor FSR which a material who’s the resistance changes when a force or pressure is applied. (FSR), is to detect the changes of pressure. Once the (FSR) detects the changes in pressure, the Arduino will display the range of the pressure into the LCD and the LED will light up according to the pressure detected. There is about three stage of pressure have been set which is Low, Medium and High.
