Title: Study on Duelist Algorithm based Optimization Technique for PID Controller in Load Frequency Control (LFC)

Synopsis: Load Frequency Control (LFC) is an important control element in the synchronous generator which is tasked to damp frequency oscillation during load changes. The parameters of the PID controller has to be optimally tuned in order to obtain satisfactory LFC performance. The student needs to carry out a comparative analysis using evolutionary algorithms such as Duelist Algorithm and compared to existing algorithms such as GA (Genetic Algorithm) or EP (Evolutionary Programming). The frequency response and tie line power should be observed in terms of settling time and overshoot/undershoot to evaluate the performance of the tuned PID controller.
