Synopsis: Emergency response time or accident response time is crucial as it involves the lives of the accident victims. This life or death situation depends on the response time of the authorities, particularly the ambulance as each second is valuable. However, the authority’s response depends on the initial request for help at the point of incident / accident. In order to enhance the response awareness, a system based on IoT is proposed. This system called Enhanced Response Awareness System (ERAS) will alert the authorities regarding the accident that have occurred and send them the location of the vehicle and the level of the seriousness. The ERAS will affect the overall response time of crash and can potentially help save the accident victim’s life.
